Second Wind Dallas is an organized non-profit group working towards becoming a 501c non-profit. We help families within the Dallas, Richardson, Plano, Irving and soon to be Allen school districts with elementary school age children. We currently have two programs, our Adopt-a-Family program during the Winter Months (October through December) and our Fill a Bucket Campaign during the Spring Months (March through May).
In 2007 we helped 80 families in the Plano, Richardson, Dallas areas. In 2008 we helped 130 in the Plano, Richardson, Dallas and Irving areas. In 2009 we helped 150 families in those same areas. We are currently looking for volunteers to help with our Photo Scavenger Hunt coming up on May 1, 2010. We are also looking for product donations for the Fill a Bucket Campaign and also for the Goodie bags which will be given to each Scavenger Hunt participant.
